Goal Tracking: November Edition

At the beginning of the year I published a post outlining what some of my goals for the year were. In the spirit of being transparent, here is the progress I made on them over the course of November –

  1. 2 hours of volunteering.
  2. 0 shyness.
  3. Zero progress on Rust or Erlang. With one month left in the year it’s going to be an uphill battle to meet my goal. I’m 100% sure I’m going to have to make this a 2016 goal.
  4. I read three books in November — An Anthropologist on Mars: Seven Paradoxical Tales (Absolutely fascinating! This was also the first non-fiction book I’ve read in quite some time. I’m definitely going to read more books by Oliver Sacks), Batman: The Black Mirror (dark and gripping), and The White Tiger (picked this up while I was in Portland. This is an excellent book, and very easy to read. Super fun!).
  5. One paper read.
  6. 4 posts over the course of the month.
  7. Very few muscle ups this month. I was mostly focused on building up my stamina for the SF Urbanathlon.
